Childcare centres

Massey offers a variety of childcare facilities and services at the different campuses.

Auckland campus

The Auckland Early Learning Centre (Northern Auckland Kindergarten Association) is licensed for 40 children aged from three months to five years. It has three age-related sections, provides meals and has a high ratio of qualified, registered teachers to children.

Manawatu campus 

On our Manawatu campus there are four Centres - three at the Turitea site; one at Hokowhitu.


  • Massey Child Care Centre - caters for children aged between birth and six years old in four high-quality centres, nationally renowned for innovative practices and excellence in childcare
  • Massey Kids’ Club - picks up children from local schools and  transports them to the Turitea site. They look after children aged between five and 12, running after-school and holiday programmes
  • Te Uru Karaka Kohanga Reo - provides a total immersion Mäori language programme for children aged one to five years.


  • Hokowhitu Children’s Centre -  is licensed for 14 under-two-year-olds and 35 over two-year-olds. There is a high ratio of qualified, registered teachers who provide a quality care and education programme for children.

Wellington campus

In Wellington, while there are no on-campus childcare facilities, a number of childcare facilities are located nearby.
